In Te Abala, clean water transformed life.
The community in Te Abala used to deal with constant waterborne illness, hours away from school and work each day, and a lack of their basic human right.
A Love Mercy well changed everything: good health, education, healthy livestock, and fresh new hope for the future.
WHY CLEAN WATERWithout clean water, life is a daily battle, and poverty thrives.
Constant waterborne illness.
Missing school.
Starving livestock.
No time to farm.
No time to earn income.
No access to her basic human right.
This is everyday life for communities in Uganda, where women and girls spend up to 6 hours a day making dangerous journeys to collect water for their families. Usually, this water isn’t even clean.

Before the borehole was drilled I used to walk for a long distance of about 5km to fetch water, and this would interfere with farming and my domestic work. My children would frequently suffer from diarrhoea and stomach pain due to contaminated water.
But now I collect clean water in the nearby place and there’s no more suffering from waterborne diseases.
